the geezer trip with, Duane, Ruth, Perry and Elizabeth and Corey.7-24-28-18

We met at the landing at 8 am.   We were on the water by thirty after eight.   Duane and Ruth were paddling with me in the Seneca.   It was a beautiful day. Green trees, blue water and gray rocks. All glimmering in the sunshine.  We found an empty campsite in about an hour and a half.  It was big enough for all three of our tents.   We didn't pitch the tarp because the forecast was so good.    We lounged and paddled and read and relaxed  for the afternoon.  At one fifteen Corey showed up in a solo boat.   We were very glad he made it.   He was going to spend the whole four days but because of family responsibilities he could only spend a few hours.  Duane and Ruth started a real nice fire to grill the steaks on.   We had salads too.      We spent a nice evening with Corey leaving about six thirty.    Wednesday we had a nice breakfast and spent the morning drinking coffee.  I took a nap and rested for the afternoon.  It was too windy to paddle and fish so we stayed in camp.   It was chicken noodle delight for supper.    Thursday we did some paddling and fishing.  Mostly just enjoyed the glorious wilderness environment.  Friday we packed up and paddled out.  It was a beautiful morning.
