A day on hegman with the guys, 7-25-16

We portaged to south hegman from the parking lot and headed out on our adventure.   The next portage was very short so we prepped our fishing tackle.   The guys were very enthusiastic and happy.  We were soon at the hot spot.  Fishing was good.    After a couple hours we headed for the  pictographs.  They were beautiful, we admired how they had lasted over two hundred years.  We also talked about how they could be a clue to a treasure in the bwca.  We paddled a little farther and observed the dozens of pitcher plants growing on a floating bog.   There was a discussion on how they caught bugs in their pitcher and ate them.     We got out of the canoes and bounced on the bog.  It was a lot of fun.  Next it was up a cliff to eat blueberries and look at the bog from above.  It had been an excellent day and we were all very happy to enjoy the good weather and all the fishing action and sites.   What a good group of guys.
